“Support When You Need It – Targeted Learning Assistance to Help You Succeed”
At Fire Industry Academy, we are dedicated to supporting your success beyond the online learning environment. To help you progress through your studies as efficiently and effectively as possible, we offer two key support initiatives designed to enhance your educational experience.
Student Support Labs are structured online sessions that are presented live at 8:30am AEST on the second Thursday of every month. These sessions deliver course-adjacent content, personalised guidance, and direct interaction with our Trainers and Assessors. These sessions are specifically designed to complement your Diploma coursework, assisting you in clarifying concepts, addressing challenges, and building confidence throughout your studies.
For more specific assistance, our Ask an Assessor sessions are offered to all students. These weekly sessions (Monday’s at 9am) provide an opportunity to engage directly with experienced Assessors who can assist in interpreting course requirements, resolving queries, and offering tailored guidance relevant to your qualification pathway.

Developed to complement your Diploma course work, the Labs offer course-adjacent content and support to help clarify concepts, address challenges, and enhance your learning journey. Whether you’re seeking guidance, feedback, or simply want to build your confidence, the Labs are here to support your success every step of the way.

14 August 2025 – Foundation Skills and Knowledge
11 September 2025 – Fire Protection Systems
9 October 2025 – Fire Safety Legislation and the NCC
13 November 2025 – Fire Protection requirements

Ask an assessor - direct access to expert guidance
Available to all students, the “Ask an Assessor” sessions at Fire Industry Academy give you valuable opportunities to engage directly with our experienced Assessors. We understand studying is not always easy, these free online sessions allow you to ask questions, clarify requirements, and gain insights into your learning and assessment journey. It’s your chance to get expert advice tailored to your goals and ensure you’re on the right track to success.
